Sledging for beginners at Melchsee-Frutt

Melchsee-Frutt is home to Switzerland’s first learn-to-sledge run, where you learn the correct way to steer and brake for a fun experience.

Melchsee-Frutt has witnessed an increase in the number of people sledging in recent winters. But for many, lack of technique has prevented them enjoying the experience to the full. The new sledge learning run offers visitors a chance to acquire the requisite skills.

The connecting sledge run promises eight km of fun with an elevation loss of 1000 metres – perfect for putting into practice what you’ve learnt. Sledging’s more fun if you know what you’re doing!
