An exciting outdoor experience awaits in Lungern. The new archaeology theme trail on the old Brünig mule track uses QR codes to provide information on research that was done in 2012-2017.
The old Brünig mule track is signposted from Lungern station. The hike to the immediate vicinity of the Brünig Pass takes 2-3 hours with an elevation gain of 400 metres. Using QR codes, you can learn about the mule track and the archaeological research carried out between 2012 and 2017 at the Brünig.
Brochures accompanying the theme trail are also available at the Bahnhöfli restaurant in Lungern and at Obwalden Tourism’s information desk at Sarnen railway station. Further material on archaeological research at the Brünig can be found online at www.erlebnisausstellung.ch.
