The seventh stage of the Tell Trail leads from Älggialp towards the Brünig pass and Lake Lungern. The destination of the stage is the village of Lungern.
Countless alps (alpine pastures) accompany you today on your way down into the valley. From the marshy plateau of the Älggialp, the geographical centre of Switzerland, you pass through small forests towards the Brünig pass. The turquoise waters of Lake Lungern greet you from afar, which you reach after a strenuous descent along narrow paths. The destination of the seventh stage is the village of Lungern.

Parking
Parkmöglichkeiten auf dem Älggi-Parkplatz beim Berggasthaus Älggialp
Arrival / Return journey

Sie erreichen die Älggialp ab Sachseln/Edisried über die Älggistrasse oder ab Flüeli-Ranft über die Wolfisbergstrasse. Diese beiden Strassen vereinigen sich bei den sogenannten Blatten. Wichtig: Ab hier ist die Strasse an Wochenenden und Feiertagen nur alternierend befahrbar.

  • Gerade Stunden = Bergfahrt (z.B. bis 10.40 Uhr)
  • Ungerade Stunden = Talfahrt ab Älggi-Parkplatz (z.B. bis 11.40 Uhr)

Die ganze Älggistrasse ist eine einspurige Bergstrasse mit begrenzten Ausweichmöglichkeiten. Es wird daher empfohlen, via Flüeli-Ranft über die Wolfisbergstrasse auf die Älggialp zu fahren.
