Author’s advice
A ride at sunrise on the Brienzer Rothorn aerial cableway is the ideal way to start this outing. On Sundays in July or August, glide up Lucerne's highest peak at sunrise and admire the play of colours. While you're enjoy the view, the breakfast buffet is being prepared in the restaurant. Thus fortified, you can then embark on your descent and enjoy the mountain's beautiful flora and fauna. If the entire walk is too long for you, book a ride on the Rothorn-Eisee chairlift.

During the last third of the walk, make a detour to the Emmensprung. It's well worth it!
