The Fluonalp dairy and restaurant is situated in the midst of lush alp pastures bordering the nature and wildlife reserve below the Giswilerstock. Amongst its specialities are Giswil Älplermagronen and Fluonalp cheese tart with a Cheli schnapps coffee. Enjoy great views and traditional food.

Alp dairy
Do you know how alp cheese is made? The cows on the Fluonalp feed on the very best herbs. And if the glorious views of the Obwalden region have any effect on the finished product, then this is what makes this alp cheese unique. We cordially invite you to pay the dairy at Fluonalp a visit. Make your own cheese. Involve yourself in the whole process, from preparation to labelling. Your alp cheese will be stored and looked after for one year, whereupon you can come and collect it. Cheesemaking with a visit to the dairy takes place in the afternoon (prior notification required).
