A different look at monastic culture
What does monastery mean? Monastic culture is shaped life, horizon of experience and experimental space, search and dialogue. In order to recognise what is essential for monastic culture, it is worth taking a look at the beginnings of monastic forms of life. Many of the things that shaped monastic culture are still kept alive by the monks today. In their exchange with the world, they go new ways in which their traditional approach to life appears surprisingly modern.
Encounter the theme of origins in word and sound with representatives of the monastery, the monastery organist Alessandro Valoriani and musicians from the Zwischentöne chamber music festival.
