Folk culture festival OBWALD
OBWALD brings the interplay of cultures to life - between Obwalden, Switzerland and the world. The festival raises awareness of our own and other cultures, similarities and differences. This year's guest country is Cuba.
INVITATION
Pleasantly far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday working life and yet easily accessible - this is how the story of the seminars on offer in Obwalden, Switzerland's most central canton, begins. In the midst of inspiring landscapes, you will encounter extraordinary architecture, surprising experiences and, above all, people who are passionate hosts.
The Obwalden seminar hotels do not do "business as usual". We will be happy to show you what this means for you as an organizer of MICE events at our exclusive "Business as unusual" dinner on Wednesday, 25 June 2025 - in the middle of the folk culture festival OBWALD with the guest country CUBA.
Whether rumba or son - Cuban sounds tell stories of courage, challenges and unshakeable joie de vivre. Instead of in the alleyways of Havana or on stages in Matanzas, this summer they will unfold their magic in the most beautiful forest clearing in Switzerland at OBWALD. Look forward to unique encounters between Cuban and Swiss folk musicians, who will create unforgettable sounds together.

The evening is free of charge for you. If you cancel after June 18, 2025 or do not attend, we will charge a contribution towards expenses of CHF 100.

Representatives of a colorful range of special experiences will also be on site.
Registration
We look forward to receiving your registration by Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The number of participants is limited.
If your schedule only allows for spontaneous registration, try your luck anyway: we will be happy to clarify at short notice whether there are still places available.
Excursion
Would you like to experience even more? On Thursday, June 26, 2025, you have the opportunity to take a trip to Melchsee-Frutt, Turren or Pilatus and visit the seminar hotels on site. Register now for your preferred excursion.
Info about the location
The folk culture festival OBWALD takes place under a tent in a forest clearing. During the evening it can get a little cooler, and a summer thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. We therefore recommend dressing appropriately for the weather.
