With its 38 km of shipping lanes, Lake Lucerne forms a unique natural arena for the fleet of five vintage, beautifully restored paddle steamers, a new catamaran and 15 saloon motor vessels.
The boats operate daily all year round and provide access to famous lakeside holiday resorts, footpaths, mountain railways and aerial cableways. Alpnachstad, for example, is where you can take the world's steepest cogwheel railway up the Pilatus. Connections to the international railway network are available in Lucerne, Brunnen, Flüelen and Alpnachstad.
