Swiss wrestling

Swiss wrestling is one of the, if not THE, Swiss national spectator sport. In former times it was a celebration of strength involving alp herdsmen and farmers at alp festivals.

Swiss wrestling is a type of wrestling involving two strong individuals, with its own rules, holds and moves. The "Bösen" (bad boys), as the top wrestlers are called, compete in regional wrestling festivals, and every three years the Swiss wrestling champion (
