Lake Eugeni

Lake Eugeni may be found in the lower part of the village of Engelberg and is actually a reservoir used for electricity generation. It's very popular as a fishing destination. The finest brown and rainbow trout are released into the lake every week. It means you can pull your dinner right out of the water yourself.

Fishing in Lake Eugeni is permitted from 15 April to 31 October. The only time when fishing is closed is at night from 10 pm to 5 am. As new trout are released on Fridays, fishing is not permitted after 7.30 pm.
