LUMEUM - Niklaus & Dorothee Alive
Lumeum embodies a unique place of experience - it is an inspiring journey of discovery where stories come to life. It immerses its visitors in a 360° experience that awakens the senses and allows them to enter new worlds through light, sound and emotions.
The Lumeum sheds new light on unforgettable stories and encourages reflection. The peacemaker Niklaus von Flüe and his wife Dorothee Wyss, who worked here in the 15th century and whose story is known beyond the country's borders, are particularly honored in the Lumeum. The "Light" motif combines the themes of peace and humanity with the modern art of 360° projection technology. Lumeum stands for innovation, emotion and culture in a new dimension.
The impressive oil paintings by artist Olivier Desvaux, combined with digital art by Abeille Brissaud, bring Niklaus and Dorothee to life. Visitors can experience a piece of Swiss history up close amidst the beautiful backdrops of the 15th century. Look forward to an immersive journey that will inspire and move you!
The immersive journey
The art of the immersive show is a fascinating interplay of technology, spatial design and artwork. It creates experiences that involve the audience not only visually, but also emotionally and physically. By dissolving the boundaries between the viewer and the artwork, the visitors themselves become part of the production. Everyone experiences the event from a personal perspective, so that the show is perceived individually.
To create a 360° atmosphere, a high-resolution video projection is installed on the walls and floors. Powerful projectors and video mapping software follow the contours of the surfaces, creating an illusion of movement and depth. To make the experience even more immersive, audio systems add an enveloping layer of sound. Using the means and creativity of digital art, the artworks are animated and interactive. The artistic scenography combined with state-of-the-art production technology puts the audience right in the middle of the action.
