Fishing in the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of three idyllic mountain lakes is an exceptional experience.
The dream of catching a lake trout/namaycush can come true at Melchsee-Frutt. Try it! You’ll be amazed!
Melchsee-Frutt also has a very special gem for fly fishers: nestled in a landscape surrounded by mountains, Lake Blau is a particularly popular and attractive fly fishing destination.
The season starts on Saturday 13 June 2020 and lasts until Sunday 21 October 2020 or until the lakes freeze over – whichever is the sooner.
A special licence is required to fish at Melchsee-Frutt. Half-day, day, week and season licences can be obtained from the tourist office in Kerns and Melchsee-Frutt and from the hotels in Melchsee-Frutt and Tannalp. A licence-vending machine is available for early risers in the old upper terminus at Melchsee-Frutt. This sells day licences for adults and young people.
